By Riham Alkousaa DAMASCUS (Reuters) -All Syrian groups, including women and Kurds, must be involved in the country's transition if Damascus wants European support, Germany's foreign minister said after a closely-watched first meeting with the new de facto leader Ahmed al-Sharaa on Friday.

The article from MSN discusses the stance of European foreign ministers on the inclusion of Kurds and women in Syria's political transition process. During a meeting in Brussels, ministers from France, Germany, and other European countries emphasized the necessity of involving the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which includes Kurdish fighters, in any future political solution for Syria. They highlighted that excluding the SDF, who have been key in fighting against ISIS, would be detrimental to achieving lasting peace. Additionally, the ministers stressed the importance of women's participation in the peace process, noting that their involvement is crucial for a sustainable and inclusive political transition. This call for inclusion comes amidst ongoing conflicts and the complex geopolitical landscape in Syria, where various groups vie for influence in the post-conflict reconstruction and governance.
