Let me start by saying this. I am a democrat by nature but I proudly voted for John McCain for multiple reasons, but the one reason that struck a cord with me was this; A man that would sacrifice his life after already almost losing it once for his country, is a selfless human being and perfect as a leader! To overlook that as anything but the most important character trait in a leader, is ignorant.
So now, everyone that jumped on the Obama is a star band wagon and punched that hole in the voting booth, can stand by and watch as our new leader, President Obama, secures democratic control of the congress and is about to secure party control over the senate by absorbing a republican into his cabinet, and placing a democrat into the senate. Does anyone know what that is going to do? That will give Obama and the democratic party, authority to pass anything they choose, unchallenged by an opposite opinion.
Obama is a star? not likely. We can all hope that everything being done works but here is what I see and concerns me, so I'll voice it. Obama is throwing our country into trillions of debt (it gets exponentially harder to dig yourself out of debt, the further in debt you go, that's the way it works), having basically absolute control of our government with personnel tricks (yeah, he's bringing republicans into the cabinet to diversify but freeing seats in the 2 branches that will be filled with his party), and bringing tax evaders in to run socially critical services, even the IRS itself!!
It doesn't take a scholar that these are critically bad things. Under no circumstance should any party have enough control to do what they want. This defeats the whole checks and balances system and we are now a monarchy, if not becoming communist. Scary thought, isn't it. Well, that's where we're headed because our countries populous is filled with an American Idol mentality and a lack of IQ to see through it.
Voting for Obama to run this country simply because he can speak more intelligently than the working class regardless of experience or the glaring flaws, was like having a juvenile delinquent run a bank.
