Casen Roark brought home his fourth straight TSSAA Division II state wrestling title while Lakeway Christian and St. George's had individual champs.
Casen Roark, a senior at Father Ryan High School, won his fourth consecutive TSSAA Division II wrestling state championship in the 132-pound weight class. His journey to this title was marked by a significant challenge when he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a football game in October. Despite this injury, Roark made a remarkable recovery, returning to wrestling just three months later. His determination was evident as he navigated through the state tournament, defeating his opponents with a combination of skill and resilience. In the final match, Roark secured a 10-2 major decision over McCallie's Connor Clayton, showcasing his dominance and mental toughness. His coach, Jim Best, praised Roark's work ethic and his ability to overcome adversity, highlighting his status as one of the top wrestlers in the state.
